Twenty years on the other side of the licensing review

Before this was software, it was our job. We ran a Minnesota PCA and 245D agency for two decades: hiring caregivers, keeping training current, building client files, making payroll and sitting across the table from licensors.

We used the binders, the spreadsheets and the separate training and payroll vendors. We saw how much of a coordinator's week went to re-typing the same information into different places — and how often a missed date, not bad care, was what showed up in a correction order.

So we built CareCertify for training, then Certify245D for everything else, and now payroll — each piece sharing one record, each rule cited to the statute it comes from. It's used every day in a working Minnesota 245D agency.
